„Gau-Bischofsheim“

I opted for the quiet wine-growing village in 2002. It all happened very quickly: a small real estate ad and then a visit. Just a few months later, my life was no longer centred in Mainz but rather in Gau-Bischofsheim.

It did not take long until "Bischem" became home. It is the people, the wine, the community, the recurring court festivities, and the vineyard at my doorstep. Here, life in the country is connected with the advantage of being a few minutes away from a big city.

The "Bischemer Kerb" is unparalleled. A festival that is organized by a staff of 200 people, a yearly Christmas market, and the "Bischemer Woistand-Tour". The local Italian restaurant, the "Rustico", is also worth mentioning.

Rheinhessen life in a small community – with nearly 2000
Inhabitants (2013) – welcomes joining in. After more than a decade, I am involved in the middle of local politics, the working group, and just about everything else that comes up.
